Why are Indian TV news channels not doing good journalism?

Why are Indian TV news channels not doing good journalism?

India's TV news channels have been accused of not doing good journalism by providing biased and sensationalized coverage. They are often seen as focusing on trivial issues, failing to provide in-depth coverage on important topics, and being overly influenced by politicians and corporate interests. The lack of resources, tight deadlines and a lack of editorial control have all been blamed for the decline in standards. Additionally, the prevalence of paid news, where channels receive money in exchange for positive stories, has further eroded the quality of journalism. There is a need for a more stringent regulatory framework to ensure that news channels adhere to journalistic standards and provide unbiased, accurate and factual reporting.

Why is Air India under enormous debt and loss?

Air India, India's national carrier, is under tremendous debt and loss due to its inefficient business model and government interference. The airline has been overstaffed, inefficiently managed, and has failed to keep up with changing business trends. Additionally, the government has imposed high taxes, expensive leases, and other financial burdens on the airline. As a result, Air India has not been able to compete with private airlines and has been unable to turn a profit. To remedy this, the government has proposed a privatization of Air India, which would involve selling off the airline's assets and reducing its staff.
